What Is Transformative Art Process?
Viewing art and the making of art have transformative effects upon the psyche. To engage in the creative process is to engage directly with your Inner Healer or innate healing energies.
No art experience is necessary!
I am a firm believer in that Art is for everyone. Not just those with art degrees. I will be teaching you a simple yet profound art process: collage making.
We will be taking collage making to a deeper level: to access, respond to and integrate contents of the psyche to heal from trauma and for self-awareness.

To achieve this, I combine three integrative modalities:
-
Reiki
-
Hypnotherapy/Guided Meditation
-
Tranformative Art Process
Combining three modalities allows for enlivened, individualized and spontaneous sessions - the essence of Art and the artistic, creative process.

Reiki
Reiki is a ancient Japanese energetic healing technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes inner balance and well being. The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words: Rei which means "God/Goddess Wisdom or the Higher Universal Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". Therefore, Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy." I will incorporate Reiki to relax the body and create a positive, safe energetic space.
Hypnotherapy/Guided Visualiztion
Hypnosis is a natural, organic, relaxed state of being. Most of us experience various degrees of hypnotic states on a daily basis such as daydreaming, reading or watching television. Hypnotherapy/Guided Visualization calls forth the relaxed state of hypnosis allowing you to tap into the deep wisdom of your subconscious mind. Hypnotherapy will be used to quiet the mind and focus creative, healing intent through guided and individualized visualization.
Tranformative Art Process - The Work
In each session you will engage in a simple but powerful art process where your inner journey will be revealed to you. The old saying that a picture is worth a thousand words is incredibly potent in this context. The images you will be creating are akin to dreams and are mirrors of your Soul.
Individual Sessions
Each session includes an initial check-in to discuss any issues/insights and may include hypnotherapy, guided visualization and/or a Reiki session. We will devote the next segment for collage/art making and discussion of art piece/process. For my ongoing clients, I will also ask you to establish a collage/art journal and create one collage/art piece per day that suits your unique exploration.
One-Time Process Group Session (2 or more)
I provide a one-time group process for organizations, work groups and friends. These one-time group process session include discussion, introductions, collage art process and discussion of each person's piece. Session time is variable depending on size of group and group need - 1.5 hours up to 2.5 hours.
Ongoing Group Sessions (2 or more)
On-going groups meet once per week. I will initially meet with each group member individually to introduce the process and for each member to get to know me and ask any questions. Group sessions will include discussion, check-in, group art process, and discussion/process of each group member's completed piece. Session time is generally 2 hours.
Special Classes (2 or more)
Periodically, I hold special themed group classes and generally are six weeks in length. Meeting once or twice a week, we will focus on themes such as Moving Through Grief, Faces Of The Divine Feminine, Engaging Your Inner Gods and Goddesses, etc. These classes follow a similar format at the group sessions but allow more time for discussion and additional course material to go deeper. Prior to the first class, I will meet with each group member individually to introduce the process and for each member to get to know me and ask any questions. A class syllabus will be provided with additional readings to go deeper into our particular focus. Each class will begin with an in-depth discussion of our topic, a group check-in followed by a guided visualization to focus our intent, group art process, and discussion/process of each group member's completed piece. Class time is generally 2.5 hours.
